The Benchmade 375BK-1 Fixed Adamas is a lightweight tactical knife, designed by Shane Sibert, made of hard ultra-hard CPM-CruWear steel.
The Benchmade 375BK-1 Fixed Adamas was created for uniformed services for whom reliability and durability are of key importance.
Benchmade 375BK-1 Fixed Adamas has a full-tang construction, which means that it is made of one piece of steel.
The blade is 4.3 mm thick at its widest point. The back of the spine is raised and has transverse cutters, allowing the finger to rest securely during work.
The blade has a strong cutting edge and flat grind, which guarantees smooth cutting and easy penetration. The knife has a cobalt protective coating that protects against corrosion and minor scratches and emphasizes the tactical character of the knife. The blade has a fuller, which increases its rigidity and reduces weight.
These parameters guarantee the functionality and durability of the knives and make them suitable for demanding tasks. Full-tang knives are famous for their durability and resistance to damage, which is why they are widely used by soldiers and enthusiasts of military, survival and bushcraft.
The blade is made of the latest tool steel from Crucible Industries LLC - CPM-Cruwear, hardened to a hardness of 63-65 HRC. Thanks to its excellent abrasion resistance and strength, CPM-Cruwear can be described as a steel with twice the performance of the original D2 steel.
The new formula is enriched with vanadium, tungsten and molybdenum additives, which give the steel exceptional wear resistance and allow for high hardening.
When choosing a knife made of such steel, it is worth getting a diamond sharpener, because sharpening with a standard ceramic whetstone can be very laborious and inefficient.
The knife has a skeleton design, without the typical linings, which has allowed for an effective reduction in weight and ensures a flat profile. On the shank, which acts as a handle, transverse cutters have been made in critical areas to increase the knife's grip.
The shaft has a black paracord braid, which increases comfort and grip.
The knife is carried in a polymer sheath with an adjustment system for retention (knife withdrawal force) and an additional lock. The sheath is compatible with low-profile Malice clips, allowing the user to attach the knife to MOLLE equipment or wear it on a belt.
