Benchmade 570-1 Presidio II Folding knife

The Benchmade 570-1 Presidio II is a modernized version of the iconic tactical knife, featuring lighter CF-Elite plastic liners and a blade made of powdered CPM-S30V steel. A reliable axis-lock has also been added. The knife has a perfectly formed cutting edge, a strong point and a hollow grind, which ensures an aggressive cut and good penetration. The blade has been satin-finished (a polishing technique) to give the steel an elegant matt finish. The Presidio II is handy and easy to carry, making it a suitable knife for everyday use (EDC).

Premium steel

The 94 mm drop-point blade is made of premium CPM-S30V steel hardened to 58-60 HRC. American powder steel is valued for its resistance to corrosion and wear (high impact strength) and long-lasting sharpness. When choosing a knife made of this steel, it is worth getting a diamond sharpener, because sharpening with a standard ceramic whetstone can be very laborious and inefficient.

Quick unfolding

A pin on both sides is used to unfold the blade, making it easier for both right- and left-handed people to use the knife. The convenient location of the pin also allows for comfortable use of the knife when wearing gloves.

Safety at work

The knife uses Benchmade's flagship lock, the Axis-lock mechanism, valued for its high resistance to dynamic loads, insensitivity to dirt and ease of use. The strength and rigidity of the knife's construction are ensured by full steel liners of increased thickness.

Lightweight and durable liners

The knife has profiled linings made of CF-Elite (carbon fiber reinforced nylon), which is much lighter and stiffer than, for example, G10 laminate. The handle is profiled and widens at the base of the blade, thus creating a natural guard that prevents the hand from slipping onto the blade and provides a support point for the fingers. Slanted milling and small square nubs emphasize the tactical character and ensure a stable grip on the knife. A high-mounted clip that can be switched to the other side enables discreet carrying of the knife in a pocket.
