Blade made of D2 hardened steel

The blade is made of hard tool steel D2 hardened to 60 HRC. D2 is a carbon steel with the highest corrosion resistance, which is characterized by high abrasion resistance, long-lasting sharpness and aggressive cutting. When choosing a knife made of such steel, it is worth getting a diamond sharpener, because sharpening with a standard ceramic whetstone can be very laborious and inefficient.

Spear-point blade

The Walther Q5 has a symmetrical spear-point blade with a black stonewash finish that reduces light reflection and emphasizes the knife's tactical purpose. The knife owes its good cutting properties and excellent penetration to the flat grind, the gently curved cutting edge and the strong thrust.

Liner-Lock

The blade can be opened with one hand using the pin on both sides, which is convenient for both right- and left-handed users. The monolithic frame-lock, considered one of the safest locks used in folding knives, effectively protects against accidental folding of the blade. The blade is locked by pressing one of the scales against the base of the blade.

Stonewash finish on the Walther Q5

The knife has steel liners with a black stonewash finish and FRN plastic inserts. The non-slip texture of the liners is identical to that of the Walther Q5 pistol grip. The fine grid ensures excellent grip and prevents the knife from slipping out of sweaty or wet hands.
