Walther FFK is the first Friction Folder knife in the German manufacturer's range, equipped with a 440C steel blade, contoured G10 laminate liners and a kydex sheath.
The Walther FFK is ideal as a full-size edc knife or a lightweight outdoor tool.
The knife blade is made of the popular stainless steel 440C, hardened to 57-59 HRC. Thanks to the increased carbon content, the steel is wear-resistant, retains its sharpness for a long time and can be sharpened relatively quickly and easily, which is important for a field knife. The blade has an elegant satin finish (polishing).
A friction folder is a folding knife without a classic lock. This function is partially fulfilled by the extended blade tang, which is locked with the palm of the hand after unfolding the blade. Only the force of friction and the hand gripping the handle with the tang hidden inside it protect the blade from folding uncontrollably.
The so-called Piemontese lever is used to open the blade. It is an elongated pin that retracts inside the handle when the knife is unfolded. When using the knife, the hand simply presses the lever, which prevents the blade from folding. This functionality makes the knife easy and comfortable to use for both right- and left-handed people.
The knife has CNC-milled, profiled G10 laminate scales. Thanks to the fine texture and anatomical cut-outs, the knife fits securely and comfortably in the hand. The Kydex sheath with lanyard allows the knife to be worn around the neck or in a pocket.
