Benchmade 15017-1 HUNT Hidden Canyon Hunter is a modernized version of the renowned hunting knife, featuring a solid blade made of high-quality S90V steel, a handle made of natural Richlite laminate and a sheath made of thermoplastic Boltaron.

Robust design

The Benchmade 15017-1 HUNT Hidden Canyon Hunter is a small fixed blade knife with a full tang construction.

Knives made from a single piece of steel (full tang) are resistant to damage and breakage, which is why they are commonly used for heavier work by hunters, survival and bushcraft enthusiasts, and soldiers.

Premium steel

The knife has a fixed blade with a length of 71 mm, made of elite CPM-S90V stainless steel, which is hardened to a hardness of 59-61 HRC, optimal for EDC knives.

CPM-S90V is a luxury stainless steel with a very high vanadium and carbon content, which makes the blade stay sharp for a long time and highly resistant to abrasion and corrosion.

When choosing a knife made of hard steel, you should get a diamond sharpener, because sharpening with a standard ceramic whetstone can be very laborious and inefficient.

A blade for the hunter

The wide flat-ground blade has a distinctly rounded belly, which, in combination with the practical drop point profile, ensures excellent cutting performance and high resistance to damage.

There is a cross-cut milling on the back and front of the spine, which creates a stable support point for the fingers. This simple feature allows for comfortable and precise handling of the knife, which is crucial for the hunter when gutting the game.

The blade has a satin finish (polishing) giving the knife a classic style.

Comfortable and stylish handle

The handle is, of course, an important factor in the comfort of use.

The knife has stylish Richlite laminate scales attached to the tang with screws. Richlite is a durable laminate made from recycled paper saturated with resin and natural cellulose.

The handle has a beautiful brown-black grain that contrasts effectively with the orange G10 laminate insert.

The profiled shape of the handle and the scaly ribbing of the back part of the shaft guarantee a stable grip. There is a hole in the back part of the handle for a thong or paracord.

Modern sheath

For safe knife transportation, a sheath made of Boltaron, a thermoplastic material with high resistance to damage, temperature and moisture, is used.

The bright orange color makes it easier to find a knife left in the grass or undergrowth and increases our visibility during group hunts. The sheath is compatible with the Tek-Lok mount.
